Beautifully Crafted NZ Pounamu Jewellery

Our story

We are a small West Coast family business brought together by our shared love of pounamu and carving. Our journey began at the carving studio of the late Barrytown jade carver, Hamish James, where we met and built our relationship. Hamish ignited our passion for carving and, although he has sadly passed on, we continue to honour his memory by carrying on his legacy in our own way. Today, we work from our own carving studio on the West Coast, creating meaningful pieces inspired by the land and the stories it holds. My husband, who is from the Whanganui River, is the carver behind our pendants, while I specialise in crafting our earrings and hairpins. We love every part of the carving process and take great pride in bringing treasured pieces to life — creating taonga that can be worn, gifted, and passed down for generations to come.
